What type of work do you take on?+
We focus on house extensions, home renovations, garage conversions and structural alterations for residential properties.
Do you take on small repairs or handyman work?+
No. We do not take on small handyman jobs, insurance patch repairs or very small maintenance work.
Which areas do you cover?+
We regularly work across St Albans and the surrounding Hertfordshire towns. Larger projects are usually considered within approximately 25 miles.
Do I need drawings or planning permission before contacting you?+
You can contact us whether or not drawings or planning are already in place. We do not take on work without the proper permissions where required.
Can you coordinate other trades?+
Yes. We use trusted electricians, plumbers, roofers and plasterers where specialist work is required.
Are you insured?+
Yes. Carter & Sons Building Co. is fully insured for residential building work.
Do you guarantee your work?+
A workmanship guarantee is provided in writing for each project. Manufacturer warranties apply where relevant.
How quickly will you reply?+
Enquiries are usually answered within one working day.
Do you offer emergency callouts?+
No. We do not provide general emergency building callouts.
